After several line-up changes that led to different groups (Flying Burrito Bros, Byrds), this four-piece band took to the stage in Sage, Lower Saxony, in the fall of 1985 and delivered a dynamic and energetic live show.
The concert was part of a major European tour that included Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, France and England.
Sneaky Pete, who elicits incredible sounds from his little-known and special instrument, the pedal steel guitar, is joined on stage by Skip Battin (former member of the Byrds and later bassist of the New Riders of the Purple Sage), multi-instrumentalist Greg Harris and drummer Jim Goodall. The evening's repertoire is the best that a first-class band can offer. In addition to songs from the early days of the Flying Burrito Brothers, there are songs made famous by the Byrds, country-rock songs that are now considered classics and some of those adventurous bluegrass numbers that were so popular on the old continent.
