Guitar virtuoso Alastair Greene's new album is a confident statement that cements his position as a blues rock veteran.
He has carved out a dynamic solo career while contributing to the music of notable artists such as Grammy-winning Alan Parsons and Soul Blues Grammy nominee Sugaray Rayford.  With a set of original songs rooted in the blues and Southern rock tradition, it builds on the momentum created by his critically acclaimed solo releases of recent years. .
With Standing Out Loud (his 11th solo album), Greene wanted to make an honest, no-frills record that recalls the spirit of his favorite music from the 1960s and '70s. To this end, he traveled to Nashville in January 2024, where he recorded eight of the album's eleven songs. His partner in this endeavor was Nashville veteran JD Simo, who co-produced with Greene and recorded the tracks in his own House of Grease Studio.
