He wrote 'Born In Chicago' for the Butterfield Blues Band, worked with Mike Bloomfield, the Electric Flag, and Janis Joplin. Highly influential songwriter/producer, he recorded just one album under his own name, for a major label. Three studio cuts, the remaining tracks recorded live at the 'Fillmore West'. Three bonus tracks were taken off the live CD with the same title. These recordings show a powerful Mike Bloomfield who was on the height of his career. Excellent, essential documentation.
