Chip Taylor will always be known as the man who wrote “Wild Thing” and “Angel of the Morning”. His tracks have been recorded by artists as diverse as the Hollies and Janis Joplin (by the way, he's Angelina Jolie's uncle!).
“Gasoline” was Chip Taylor's debut album and was originally released in 1971 and has been out of print for some time.

His lyrics on this album deal with topics that are not exactly commonplace in country music, but there are also elements of pop, folk and rock to be heard on these recordings.

Also included is the original version of “Angel of the Morning”, which was a worldwide hit for Merilee Rush.
