Pioneers in the early days of disco, two of First Choice's 1973 recordings for the Philly Groove label, "Armed And Extremely Dangerous" and "Smarty Pants", enjoyed huge success in the UK and formed the basis for the timeless anthems on this exciting collection featuring the group's R&B, pop and dance hits for Gold Mind.
First Choice's recordings for Gold Mind have been extensively sampled, with over 500 samples of the "Shep Pettibone Original Mix" of "Let No Man Put Asunder", which was also covered by Mary J. Blige on her 1999 double platinum album "Mary".
