- Plus a specially curated fourth disc of remixes and reinterpretations. All sound has been remastered by Nick Robbins.
Includes a deluxe booklet designed by Roger Williams with liner notes by author Craig Seymour, featuring quotes from a 2024 interview with First Choice original member Rochelle Fleming, as well as insightful essays from reissue producers Tim Dillinger and Joe Marchese and personal reflections from SoulMusic Records founder David Nathan.
Key tracks include "Doctor Love", "Let No Man Put Asunder", "Double Cross" and "Love Thang", which became club classics in the late 70s. Pioneers in the early days of disco, two of First Choice's 1973 recordings for the Philly Groove label, "Armed And Extremely Dangerous" and "Smarty Pants", enjoyed huge success in the UK and formed the basis for the timeless anthems on this exciting collection featuring the group's R&B, pop and dance hits for Gold Mind.
First Choice's recordings for Gold Mind have been extensively sampled, with over 500 samples of the "Shep Pettibone Original Mix" of "Let No Man Put Asunder", which was also covered by Mary J. Blige on her 1999 double platinum album "Mary".

Includes production by Norman Harris, Ron Kersey, Ron Baker, Earl Young, Bruce Hawes, Thor Baldursson, Tom Moulton, McKinley Jackson, Melvin and Mervin Steals, Allan Felder, Cary "Hippy" Gilbert and T.G. Conway, with mixes and re-mixes by Tee Scott, David Morales, the Basement Boys, Walter Gibbons, Tony Humphries, Danny Tenaglia, Frankie Knuckles, Shep Pettibone and others.
