The Fireballs Bottle Of Wine (LP, Cut-Out)

orignally sealed 1968 US Cut Out LP - storage wear

The Fireballs featuring Jimmy Gilmer – Bottle Of Wine is a 1968 Atco Records album featuring twelve tracks and Jimmy Gilmer on vocals. The Fireballs had already established themselves with their clean instrumental rock sound and early hits, while this period brought a stronger vocal focus with Gilmer. The title song Bottle Of Wine, written by Tom Paxton, is the centrepiece of the album and had already appeared as a successful single in 1967. The remaining selection includes 3 Minutes' Time, Ain't That Rain, Where Can Tomorrow Be Found?, Mason Street, Barbara White, Groovy Motions, Goin' Away, I Don't Have The Right, A Girl As Perfect As You, Baby, Listen To Me and Chicken Little. Producer Norman Petty was behind the recordings made at his Clovis studio. Bottle Of Wine captures an important chapter in the Fireballs' career, combining their distinctive instrumental rock background with Jimmy Gilmer's vocals. A great choice for collectors of classic rock'n'roll, pop and Norman Petty productions.
