Rick Estrin & The Nightcats One Wrong Turn

It's my honest believe: this is today's best band from the US west coast! Expanding the tight boundaries of traditional style electric blues is a pretty difficult job. Producing albums within that genre without ever sounding out-dated is rather difficult, too. I know that many long-time fans were afraid that with Charlie Baty leaving the band would fall into pieces. None of that happened. The young and wild substitute, axe master Kid Anderson from Norway, is doing a fantastic job, and Estrin sounds more relaxed than ever. Outstanding album with ten numbers written by Estrin, and two instrumentals written by the protagonists. 5 stars!
