Ende der 70er Jahre arbeitete er auch mit Boxcar Willie. Zahlreiche Instrumental-L.P.s zeugen vom Können dieses Steel Guitar Virtuosen. Daneben hat sich Pete Drake in seinem eigenen Aulnahmestudio auch immer wieder als erfolgreicher Produzent betätigt und vie- len jungen, unbekannten Künstlern eine erste Chance gegeben.
