The album "Three Bells" documents a historic collaboration between the three Dobro masters Jerry Douglas, Mike Auldridge, and Rob Ickes. Douglas, whom James Taylor once called the "Muhammad Ali of the Dobro," is a 13-time Grammy winner and has been named Musician of the Year by the Country Music Association three times.

Auldridge was a pioneer on his instrument in the 1970s and a member of the legendary band The Seldom Scene. Ickes was a founding member of the bluegrass band Blue Highway and is known as the instrumentalist who has received the most awards from the International Bluegrass Music Association.

For "Three Bells," the three masters of the Dobro guitar record songs that reflect their eclectic musical tastes. Over the course of their careers, they've worked not only in bluegrass and country, but also in jazz, folk, pop, rock, blues, and rhythm and blues.

Jerry Douglas has helped you, for example, with Ray Charles, Eric Clapton, Phish, Dolly Parton, Paul Simon, Mumford & Sons, Keb' Mo', Ricky Skaggs, Elvis Costello, and Johnny Mathis.
Each of the three musicians is also represented on "Three Bells" with a notable solo performance.
