Los Angeles-based singer, guitarist and songwriter Annie Dolan is a fresh new voice in today's rock and roots music scene. Originally from Arizona, Annie started out as a guitarist in Tucson area bands (recording and touring with desert favorites like Giant Sand and Louise Le Hir) and is now working on her own music in LA. While recording an album of original rock and pop music with Chicago guitarist Joel Paterson, Annie got the idea that it would be a fun side project to show a different side of herself and record an album of covers of classic roots music. The result is ATTA BOY GIRL, a ten-song album of covers of rock 'n' roll, country and western swing (including the original dance floor instrumental “Fussbudget,” soon to take jukeboxes by storm). This three-day Chicago session is available now as Joel and Annie finalize production of the original record, slated for a 2025 release.
