"Kevin Coyne"

Englischer Sänger und Gitarrist. Macht seit seinem 16. Lebensjahr Musik, war bis jetzt allerdings wenig erfolgreich damit. Gilt in seinem Heimatland England als unentdecktes Genie. Bevor er seine Talente als Musiker und Textschreiber entdeckte, arbeitete der 1945 geborene als Sozialarbeiter und Krankenpfleger und kehrt auch heute noch immer wieder in seinen alten Beruf zurück - aus Enttäuschung, wenn eine seiner gerade neu veröffentlichten LPs wieder einmal nichts geworden ist. Und aus den Erfahrungen, die er in seinem Beruf machte, schrieb er auch seine Lieder: schwermütig, depressiv, voller Trauer, ohne Hoffnung.
