Finally a vinyl reissue of the classic album "Harp Attack!", which was recorded together by the four harmonica virtuosos Junior Wells, Billy Branch, Carey Bell and James Cotton for Alligator Records. Wells, Cotton and Bell are among the greats of Chicago blues. What they have in common is that they all played in Muddy Waters' band. Billy Branch belongs to the younger guard of harmonica players.

The band accompanying the four artists was put together by James Cotton and Junior Wells. Michael Coleman, the guitarist, played in James Cotton's band during the 1980s. Lucky Peterson played piano from an early age and later worked as a band member for Bobby Blue Bland and Little Milton. Johnny B. Gayden is considered by critics to be one of the best blues bass players. He toured with Albert Collins and recorded albums with Johnny Winter, Son Seals, A. C. Reed and Albert Collins. Ray Allison was a member of Muddy Waters' band in the late 1970s. After his death, he became a member of James Cotton's band and is still on the road with them. In addition to recording with James Cotton, he also recorded albums with Koko Taylor, Buddy Guy and Michael Coleman.
