according to the front picture, Costello seems to be in his mid-teens. According to his playing, though, he sounds like a well-travelled bluesman. He's got that distinctuive personal tone. His style is close to Earl's, or Robillard's. But whenever you're expecting one of those I-have-heard-them-a-hundred-times-licks he knows a new one, he does! If only the sound of the album would be as fine as his playing, it would have been a sensational debut. It's still a damn good debut from a great guitar player! SEAN COSTELLO - gtr/voc, PAUL LINDEN - hca/pno, CARL SHANKLE - bass, TERRENCE PRATHER - drums.
