Rock is here to stay...rock and roll is here to stay...and now...rock and roll all night long! The Cosh Boys were certainly born to rock and this new four track EP proves it perfectly. The first track was originally written and recorded by Matchbox. It was their first record, released in 1975, when bubblegum glam rock music was dominating the music charts. The Cosh Boys' version proves, not only through the title but also musically, that good old rock'n'roll music is timeless and can move and groove anywhere, anytime. But be sure to wear your blue jeans when you dance to this song on the dance floor.
Eddie Cochran's classic rock song can be heard here in a sped-up version. With its British rock'n'billy sound from the mid-70s, it moves along unstoppably. This crazy rhythm is sure to have you stomping your feet. Next up is a guitar instrumental version of this great song that has been recorded by many. The original is by Jimmy Jones, but the most famous version is by Britain's Billy Fury. Here we have the rendition that is somewhat reminiscent of Dee Jay's version, which is a masterpiece in its own right. Last but not least on the record is the title track, written and arranged by the band themselves. This atmospheric, danceable flaneur tells a story about a night cafe where rock and roll is played by the bands and Dee Jays all night long...rock and roll...all night long!
