Bob Corritore & Friends Early Blues Sessions (CD)

This compilation is a brilliant overview of some of the early recordings that demonstrate Bob Corritore's commitment to recording the authentic blues of its creators. The sixteen tracks were recorded between 1984 and 2007 and include many newly remixed and previously unreleased gems.
Most of the artists featured on this album are no longer with us, but their recordings will live on forever. Bob always had his goal in mind and brought great artists into the studio whenever possible. When he opened the Rhythm Room in 1991, he realized that a whole host of fantastic artists would be performing at his nightclub. He seized the opportunity to not only book them, but also offer them additional work in the recording studio.
Years later, we can now celebrate the results of those efforts. Legends such as Lowell Fulson, Little Milton, Jimmy Rogers, Robert Lockwood, Sam Lay, Henry Gray, Pinetop Perkins, and others enrich this album with powerful performances. And Bob Corritore was there to envelop each of the tracks with his harmonica playing and production. The result is an overview of the brilliance of old-school blues.
