Sänger wie Jerry Jeff Walker, Johnny Cash, Rita Coolidge, die Everly Brothers und David Allan Coe machten aus den Guy Clark Songs große Hits, darunter Desperados Waiting For A Train, Texas 1947 und The Last Gunfighter Ballad.
