He started as back-up guitarist, became a well-known blues/rocker in his country crossing stylistic barriers. This set presents various sources, like New Orleans r&b and funk, Dave Gonzalez rocking roots blues, jazz standards and rockers and even avantgarde pop. This chaos is tamed by an intelligent production work. Excellent - but can't be recommended to purists.
