Walter Brennan, an extremely versatile and talented man, was one of America's most popular character actors (he won three Oscars for “Best Supporting Actor”) and also pursued a successful singing career.

This compilation, part of an earlier Jasmine release, “Reminiscing With Walter Brennan”, is based on two extremely rare albums, “Stories Of Mark Twain” (on which he performed two long narratives) and “By The Fireside”, an ambitious “Glorious Americana” collaboration with songwriter / singer Stan Jones, both of which have never before appeared on CD.

Bonus tracks are included in the form of a handful of rare 45s, notably “Space Mice” and “The Epic Ride Of John H. Glenn”. Much of this material has never been reissued - all but two of these singles have never been released in digital form
