Der gefragte kanadische Studiomusiker, Gitarrist und Singer/Songwriter KEVIN BREIT veröffentlichte 2017 ein neues Instrumental-Album via Stony Plain Records. Kevin Breit war bereits als Studio- und Live-Gitarrist für Norah Jones, K.D. Lang, Hugh Laurie, Cassandra Wilson, Taj Mahal und viele andere tätig. Der auch für sein einzigartiges Talent, exquisite Songtexte und exzentrische Auftritte bekannte Gitarrist gilt als demütiges musikalisches Juwel Kanadas und kann in einem Atemzug mit Danny Gatton genannt werden. Aufgrund seiner spielerischen Kreativität wurde er bereits mit vielen Awards ausgezeichnet, darunter der Maple Blues Award, der National Jazz Award, zwei JUNO Awards sowie insgesamt 10 Grammy Awards für Alben an denen er beteiligt war. Mit seinem 2017er Instrumentalbum „Johnny Goldtooth & The Chevy Casanovas“ erweckt er den fiktionalen Charakter Johnny Goldtooth zum Leben und erschafft ein ausschweifendes und enigmatisches, stets überraschendes, twangiges Blues-Album mit Anleihen auch aus Jazz, Country und Rock'n'Roll.
