Hervorragendes Bluesharpalbum

Auf dem Titelbild wird es bereits dargestellt. Ein Baum mit starken Wurzeln, aber auch ein kräftiger Stamm, starke Äste und viele neue blühende Triebe. So ist auch die Musik auf dieser CD von Billy Branch und den Son of the Blues. Die Roots (Wurzeln) werden nicht verleugnet. Das sind die Bluesklassiker von Little Walter. Aber es überwiegt das über viele Jahre gewachsene und neu erblühte. Billy Branch spielt beeindruckende Neuinterpretationen von Little Walters Blues Klassikern. Wie dieser Mann Bluesharmonica spielt, hat mich begeistert. Dazu eine tolle Band. Als schöner Abschluß ein Interview mit der Tochter von Little Walter Marion Diaz.
