He managed to attract a host of famous musicians for guest appearances, including Bonnie Raitt, Mark Knopfler, Van Morrison, Sinéad O'Connor, Ronan Keating, Curtis Stigers, Gavin Friday & Maurice Seezer, Eleanor McEvoy, Brian Kennedy, Moya Brennan, Mary Black, and Maura O'Connell.

This album is the first record of those Vicar St. nights, which have already gone down in music history.
