Both authors are featured, along with Kelly Willis, Tim O'Brien, Darrell Scott, Karl Jason Ringenberg, Andrea Zonn, and John Wesley Harding (Wesley Stace), who all sing as characters from the story. The musicians include Mike Auldridge (dobro), Casey Dreissen (violin), Fats Kaplan (violin and steel guitar), Tim O'Brien (banjo and violin), and many more of the best artists in acoustic music.
