Johnny Boyd Last Word In

Soloo debut from the former lead singer of Indigo Swing

Johnny Boyd – Last Word In is the solo album by the singer and songwriter who was previously known as the voice of the swing band Indigo Swing. Released by Cliffdive Records in 2001, the album contains 12 tracks and approximately 47 minutes of music. The programme includes Comin' Home To You, I'll Do Right By You, Angie's Song (Baby, Don't You Know?), Some Eggs, Don't Know What I Was Doing, Twisted (And Turned Around), Last Word In, The One I Love, I Got Religion, Honey-Dew, That Was The Time and Lorelei. While the musical connection to the swing revival remains clear, Boyd also explores country, jazz, soul, gospel and rock 'n' roll influences. The result is a varied solo album that expands beyond the sound associated with Indigo Swing while retaining Boyd's distinctive vocal character. FOMO for collectors of Johnny Boyd, Indigo Swing and the 1990s swing revival: Last Word In offers a fascinating glimpse at Boyd's early solo work and is a release worth discovering if it is still missing from your collection.
