The debut album (2005) by the Calw Rockabillys, led by singer ANNIE LEOPARDO, is being reissued on PART. Originally released by the band themselves, Highly Intoxicating! is being reissued on PART RECORDS following the success of their second album, Rockin' Off The Grid. The quartet from the Black Forest captured the hearts of the German rock 'n' roll community, and the debut album clearly shows why: Although the majority of the 19 songs are still cover versions (e.g., Brand New Cadillac, Funnel Of Love, Blitzkrieg Bop, or Lonesome Train), the BOOZE BOMBS develop a very charming and unique touch. ANNIE LEOPARDO's tart voice and the experienced band's relaxed, rockabilly- and country-influenced interplay work brilliantly, and the band's reputation is now so good that they regularly tour the US. It all began with Highly Intoxicating!
