Blues Image was formed in 1966 in Tampa, Florida, by vocalist and guitarist Mike Pinera, vocalist and drummer Manuel "Manny" Bertematti, vocalist and percussionist Joe Lala, keyboardist Emilio Garcia and bassist Malcolm Jones.

They were later joined by keyboardist Frank "Skip" Konte when Emilio Garcia left the band. The band released their self-titled debut album in February 1969, and Pinera left the band to join Pinera left the band in the fall of 1969 to join Iron Butterfly, and was replaced by vocalist Denny Correll and guitarist Kent Henry.

On this CD you will find two LPs together on one disc, the debut "Blues Image" and the third album "Red White & Blues". Unfortunately the band broke up in May 1970, fortunately today we have this CD.
