JERRY LEE LEWIS I CAN'T SEEM TO SAY GOOD-BYE (Bear Family) Sun era outtakes on vinyl for the first time. 71W The appetite for Jerry Lee Lewis' Sun material appears to be insatiable. It was only three years ago that Bear Family released the 'Collected Works' 18-CD boxset, which contained everything he ever recorded for the label.
These tracks, released on 12" record and taken from that set, are special because they have never e been released on vinyl before now. That's going to be music to the ears of people who, although they might love the Ferriday Fireball, baulked > at shelling out almost £300 for the aforementioned set.
This album really is testament to the great man's talent. Considering these outtakes haven't seen the light of day for 50 odd years, they probably all could have been (hit) it singles and as you'd expect, the sound quality is superb throughout. Simon Nott
