geb. 27. 2. 1943 in Schmallenberg Record Labels: CBS, Columbia, RCA, Metronome, Philips, Aladin, Papagayo, Ranger Größter Hit: Hallo, Guten Morgen Deutschland (1984 - 1985) Tom Astor, mit Abstand der populärste deutschsprachige Country Sänger. Sein populärster Titel „Hallo, Guten Morgen Deutschland“ ist auf den diversen Tonträgern gut eine halbe Million mal über die Ladentische gegangen. Die gleichnamige L.P. wurde über 15. 000 mal verkauft. Und im fernen Texas läuft die Platte unter dem Titel „Hello And Good Morning Texas“. Da stapeln sich selbstverständlich auch die Auszeichnungen: Jubiläumslöwe RTL 1986, eine „Goldene“ in der Schweiz für die L.P. „Westwind“, der Goldene Truck 1984 - 1985 vom Truck & Country-Club Deutschland e.V. und vieles andere mehr. Daneben reihen sich TV-Auftritte wie ZDF Hitparade, ARD Wunschkonzert, WWF Club, RTL Löwenverleihung, NDR Nordschau und DDR Goldener Löwe Leipzig. Mit seiner Begleitband ,Dusty Trail“ ist Tom Astor auf ziemlich jedem wichtigen Festival im europäischen Raum präsent, die Feuertaufe in Nashville hat er ebenfalls schon hinter sich
