The Zombies: In The Beginning (5-LP Box Set, 180g Colored Vinyl)
(Demon Records) 63 Tracks -
The Zombies entered the British and US pop scene in August 1964 with their single hit She's Not There. Their debut album Begin Here was released on the Decca label in 1965. The successor Odessey and Oracle became a classic. By the time the album was released in April 1968, however, the band had already disbanded. The single Time Of The Season became a big success in the USA in 1969 and sold over a million copies.
This 5-LP set contains the two albums of the band Begin Here and Odessey and Oracle. Early Days and Continue Here combine the band's A-sides, B-sides and EP tracks. The fourth LP faithfully reproduces the R. I.P. album, a posthumous release of overdubbed outtakes that was postponed when the new band Argent formed from the remains of the disbanded zombies.
The whole set comes in a rigid slipcase. The inner sleeves contain photos from the extensive collection of designer Phil Smee. The albums are pressed on different coloured 180g audiophile vinyl.
A box set, which is a top product for true fans due to its abundance.
