Timi, who is small in stature but immensely talented, turns twenty on August 4, 1961, and also comes of age vocally. She sings with an authority and persuasiveness that contradicts her youth and her short professional career.
Before signing her contract as a singer, she worked on weekends as a cashier and singer in her family's Italian restaurant in Hollywood, where she sang in both Italian and Spanish. Although she studied opera singing for five years and cooks a delicious lasagna, Timi's vocal ambitions lie in pop.
