Dale Watson, der Hüter der wahren Country-Musik, letztes Album Call Me Insane wurde in Austin mit dem erfahrenen Produzenten Lloyd Maines (Robert Earl Keen, Jerry Jeff Walker, etc.) aufgezeichnet. Der aus Austin kommende Honky-Tonker trägt in der Tradition von Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings und Willie Nelson mit seiner "Ameripolitan" Marke der amerikanischen Roots-Musik auf.
