Buddy Guy Muddy Waters Sings "Big Bill" (LP, 180g Vinyl)

Muddy Waters’ Sings “Big Bill” is a tribute to blues musician Big Bill Broonzy, an important influence and musical mentor to Waters. Recorded in 1959, two years after Broonzy’s death, the album features a distinguished backing lineup with Otis Spann on piano, James Cotton on harmonica and Willie “Big Eyes” Smith on drums. The ten tracks combine traditional blues with the electric Chicago blues sound for which Muddy Waters became renowned. The track list includes Tell Me Baby, Southbound Train, When I Get To Thinking, Just A Dream (On My Mind), Double Trouble, I Feel So Good, I Done Got Wise, Mopper’s Blues, Lonesome Road Blues and Hey, Hey. This reissue is part of the Chess Records Acoustic Sounds Series and has been remastered from the original analogue tapes. The 180-gram LP is pressed at Quality Record Pressings and housed in a premium tip-on gatefold sleeve.
