New life for forgotten songs Two years after his last album We're All In This Together, Walter Trout returns from the studio in 2019 with a new long player paying tribute to his favorite blues heroes.

Instead of his own songs, the US guitarist and singer decided this time for a cover album. However, he did not use classics and evergreens as a template, but rather lesser-known pieces that have never or only rarely been reinterpreted.

For Survivor Blues Trout gave them a completely new blues look with a personal touch.

How the whole thing sounds, he already revealed with the release of Me, My Guitar And The Blues.

Walter Trout recorded Survivor Blues with producer Eric Corne in Los Angeles, in the studio of former The Doors guitarist Robby Krieger. And he was on hand for a guest appearance. Further musical support was provided on a song by blues singer Sugaray Rayford.

Almost forgotten songs meet modern blues: On Survivor Blues Walter Trout breathes new life into some exciting pieces.
