Melvin Sparks

In Houston am 22.03.1946 geboren und am 15.03.2011 in New York verstorben. Melvin Sparks begleitete bereits B.B. King im Alter von 13 Jahren auf Konzerten. 1963 wurde er Mitglied bei der Band "The Upsetters", die z.B. Little Richard oder Sam Cooke auf der Bühne begleiteten. Ausserdem nahm Melvin Sparks einige Alben für Prestige Records auf.
