Louisiana native Ollie Shepard is a veteran of the racing scene. In 1937, he recorded his first major blues hit, the well-received "It's a Low Down Dirty Shame," with his Kentucky Boys for Decca. Two decades later, his most recent releases are aimed at the youthful rock 'n' roll market, returning to OKeh and releasing for the Gee and Johnson record labels in the Big Apple in a variety of hepcat-friendly styles.
