Leo Sayer had his greatest musical successes between 1973 and 1983. He first became known as a songwriter who contributed significantly to Daltrey, Roger Daltrey's first solo album. His own first hit, The Show Must Go On, reached number two in the UK in January 1974. His most successful hits include Long Tall Glasses (1974), Moonlighting (1975), the two U.S. number one hits You Make Me Feel Like Dancing (1976) and When I Need You (1977), More Than I Can Say (1980) and Have You Ever Been in Love (1982), for which he won the Ivor Novello Award.
