He released both It Ain't Necessarily So, But It Is Normie Rowe and Normie Rowe A Go-Go in 1965 on the Sunshine label through Festival, and they are absolute classics of Australian rock music. Normie was backed by the band The Playboys and ripped out soulful and hard-hitting renditions of tracks such as Gershwin's 'It Ain't Necessarily So', 'Shakin' All Over', 'Tell Him I'm Not Home', 'I Want You Back Again' and more.
