Eight years have passed since Robinson released his Blues Music Award nominated album REAL STREET. With his new DELMARK album Soul In Blue, Robinson proves that he's still in the blues business with heart and soul. Six of these tracks were recorded in Indianapolis with his longtime backing band and some special guests. Four tracks were recorded in Chicago at Delmark's Riverside Studio with the DELMARK ALL-STARS. You'll enjoy the sounds of a number of mostly self-penned songs, along with two covers by Wilson Pickett and Arthur Adams rounding out the roster. Robinson and his remarkable collaborators infuse each track with the various shades of Chicago soul, in blue.
