Sub Pop is finally releasing vinyl versions of three of Reverend Horton Heat's psychobilly classics from the '90s. All three have been out of print on vinyl since the mid-90s, with the original pressings fetching considerable sums at the junk store.

The band's 1990 debut album, Smoke 'em If You Got 'em, made a good first impression with its ferocious stand-up bass, fiery guitar playing and the Reverend Horton Heat's wild roar, an explosive cocktail of '50s rockabilly, punk energy and sly humor. AllMusic said of the album, "It's all sleaze, it's all wrong, and it's all so very, very right," while Beavis and Butthead, upon encountering the hit single Psychobilly Freakout, raved, "This guy is weird!" "Yeah, yeah, he's like.... our kind of people".
