Bernd Redecker & Reiner Schöne

Incense sticks and opiates, flowing hair and naked people on stage - that's "Hair". For some, especially the young, it becomes a cult musical, for others a shock, and even more: an infamous scandal. The hippies, who have American authors Galt McDermont (music), Gerôme Ragni and James Rado perform, celebrate themselves and protest against the Vietnam War and the establishment. The authors also incorporated the rock idiom into a musical for the first time. The German version of the piece was premiered in Munich in 1968. Ensemble members Bernd Redecker and Reiner Schöne record the title song "Haare" at the Polydor Studio in Munich for the complete soundtrack in the original German version.
