The material on MISSOURI ROCKERS Vol. 1 and 2 contain some very fine examples of amateur perfection and shows that Missouri had great talents. The group The Rebel Rousers on this release have never made it big in this form but did make 2 records. All the recordings on this album are made in 1959 for the small local JAN label. Many recordings made it to tape and were safed through the years by JAN Records. No need to say that there were other labels by the sarne name from different parts in the U.S. Our JAN label was originally owned by Skip F., a Jazz fanatic who had good ears for Rock and Roll. Cover versions of well-known songs simply deserve a little attention in this case and so are the self penned tracks in the old time sound but still fresh today!
