Lindsey Powers & His Combo – Sky Rocket

Lindsey Powers led one of the house bands at the Gateway label out of Cincinnati, Ohio, before label owner Carl Burckhardt moved his company to Philadelphia in 1958. Billed as The Lindsey Powers Combo or The Gateway All-Stars, he accompanied such artists as Al Runyan, The Four Blades, and many others. Sky Rocket comes from Gateway EP 9012, issued in 1955. The track also appeared on the album 'The Latest In Rock'n'Roll', Hollywood Records LPH-4 in 1956.
