The New Seekers

The New Seekers sind eine britische Popgruppe, die 1969 von Keith Potger nach der Auflösung seiner Gruppe, den Seekers, gegründet wurde. Die Idee war, dass die New Seekers den gleichen Markt ansprechen würden wie die ursprünglichen Seekers, aber ihre Musik hatte sowohl Rock- als auch Folk-Einflüsse. Mit Hits wie "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing", "You Won't Find Another Fool Like Me" und "Beg, Steal or Borrow" erzielten sie Anfang der 70er Jahre weltweite Erfolge.
Seitdem gab es personelle Veränderungen, nur Paul Layton blieb während dieser Zeit bei der Band. Die letzte Tournee war 2010.
