Am 14. Oktober 1943 wurde erstmals in London eine englische Version des Liedes auf Schallplatte eingespielt. Interpret war Sam Browne, das Orchester von Joe Loss begleitete ihn unter dem Namen 'New Mayfair Dance Orchestra', der gängigen Bezeichnung für das Hausorchester von His Master's Voice.
