Neighb'rhood Childr'n Neighb'rhood Childr'n (LP, 180g , Sky Blue Vinyl)

Neighb'rhood Childr'n – Neighb'rhood Childr'n is the sole studio album by the Oregon band and a fascinating document of late-1960s American psychedelic and garage rock. Originally released on Acta Records in 1968, the album emerged from the musical environment of the developing San Francisco scene. Its twelve tracks combine psychedelic rock textures, garage-rock energy, melodic songwriting and the distinctive character of the group. The program includes Up Down Turn Around World, Long Years In Space, Feeling Zero, Over The Rainbow, Changes Brought To Me, Please Leave Me Alone, Chocolate Angel, Happy Child, Patterns, Happy World Of Captain K, She's Got No Identification and Hobbit's Dream. The interplay of Dyan Hoffman's and Rick Bolz's vocals, guitars, organ and the raw yet melodic arrangements gives the record its individual identity. The album has subsequently been reissued several times and has become a sought-after title among collectors of 1960s psychedelic music. With a running time of around 32 minutes, the original album delivers a compact and focused set of songs. For collectors interested in obscure American psych, garage rock and the lesser-known corners of the Summer of Love era, Neighb'rhood Childr'n is a particularly intriguing discovery. If this overlooked piece of psychedelic history is still missing from your collection, don't wait too long
