John Moreland Big Bad Luv (CD)

John Moreland is a pretty big guy with an equally big heart. Some will know his music from the series “Sons Of Anarchy”, others from his live concerts, where he performs soulful country-folk sitting alone on a stool with his distinctive, dark voice and a warm acoustic guitar.
Moreland first performed in front of an audience in his native Oklahoma at the age of 13 and has since spearheaded a new generation of traditional singer/songwriters who represent an alternative country sound. He has his roots in the punk and hardcore scene. Steve Earl, or rather Moreland's father, who was a big fan, was largely responsible for the musical change of scene. When he heard Earl's “Rich Man's War”, a new world opened up for him, into which he completely immersed himself. Since then, he has released three country-folk albums. Moreland recorded his melancholy Americana album “Big Bad Luv”, which plays with the extremes of loud and quiet, with the help of musician friends from Tulsa in Little Rock.
