Allison Moorer
Allison Moorer was born June 21, 1972 in Mobile, Alabama, the younger sister of singer Shelby Lynne. The sisters grew up in small town Monroeville, Alabama in a country music loving family that favoured the music of George Jones and Tammy Wynette, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash and Emmylou Harris. Her father, an ex-Marine, was a vocational school instructor and local country singer. Singing for Shelby and Allison was very much in their genes as their mother and father had a popular local country act and both girls joined in as and when they could.
