Tullio Mobiglia

* April 12, 1911 - July 24, 1991

The Italian is an excellent violinist and tenor saxophonist. In 1940, the year of war, when the German orchestras became noticeably thinner, he came to Berlin for the first time with his soloists, where he quickly became popular through appearances in large music cafés and dance palaces as well as in variety shows. At the same time Mobiglia starts to record (swing) songs for the DGG and their foreign brand. One title from Mobiglia's repertoire is "She doesn't want flowers and not chocolate", which was recorded in 1941. From 1942 Mobiglia also published Swing on the (temporarily revived) Brunswick label of the DGG.
