Founding vocalist / guitarist P. Paul Fenech continues to heat up all the punk / rockabilly fellows with a mix of rousing instrumentals and catchy originals as well as great covers!

The band, formed in 1980 under the name " "The Legendary Raw Deal", is releasing its 35th album after a five-year hiatus - if we counted correctly. In addition, there are about 17 live albums and about 27 EPs and singles. Hardworking are the guys around P. Paul Fenech, because Psychobilly must not die!

Die Band ‚The Meteors’ wurde 1979 von Gitarrist und Sänger P. Paul Fenech, zusammen mit Nigel Lewis (Bass, Gesang) und Mark Robertson (Drums), zunächst als ''Legendary Raw Deal'' gegründet. The Meteors gelten als ‚Erfinder’ des Psychobilly.

Die Metamorphose dieses Musikstils, vom Rockabilly zum Psychobilly, lässt sich leicht anhand der Aufnahmen Fenechs mit seiner Band Legendary Raw Deal 1979/80, sowie seiner frühen Meteors Aufnahmen bis 1981 heraushören. Die mit der Band in Zusammenhang stehende und sehr gebräuchliche Abkürzung ''OTMAPP'' steht für ''Only The Meteors Are Pure Psychobilly''.
