Record Labels: Decca Grady Martin, ein Multitalent auf Gitarre, Fiddle und Vibraphon, gehört in Nashville mit zu den wichtigsten Sessionmusikern und Sidemen. Er trat zwar immer wieder mit seiner eigenen Band, den ,Slew Foot Five“, auf und spielte eine ganze Reihe guter Platten ein, doch seine Arbeit für andere Stars blieb bis heute dominierend. 1946 begann er mit den Bailes Brothers an der Grand Ole Opry. Über Curly Fox & Texas Ruby kam er in's Garagen-Studio von Owen Bradley, wo er an Red Foley's Millionseller „Chattanooga Shoe Shine Boy“ beteiligt war. Für Floyd Cramer's „Last Date“ spielte er Vibraphon und an zahlreiche Hits von Hank Williams, Bing Crosby, Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson und Larry Gatlin war Grady Martin beteiligt. In den 70er und 80er Jahren war er meist bei der „Willie Nelson Family“ zu finden und auf fast allen Nelson-Platten ist er zu hören.
