Marcella Simien, the daughter of two-time GRAMMY™ Award winner and zydeco luminary Terrance Simien, carries the torch of a true Creole dynasty that blends elements of zydeco, soul and blues.

Simien formed Marcella & Her Lovers. A blend of classic Memphis soul and the free-spirited swing of New Orleans funk with an ensemble of Memphis musicians. Simien's debut album, "Got You Found," with Marcella & Her Lovers, received critical acclaim. Paste magazine called Simien a "powerhouse voice" who "lends herself to the group's swampy soul sound." In 2021, Marcella & her Lovers released Live From Memphis, an album featuring the band's electric live performance in Memphis in October 2020.
